Douro Paradise House
This house is located in the heart of the Alto Douro Wine Region, a World Heritage Site, just 5 km from the city center of Peso da Régua. It has 3 suites, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and living room, and an extensive balcony overlooking the Douro River where you can enjoy a good glass of wine and relax at the end of the day.
You can also enjoy the swimming pool with a wonderful view over the much-loved River Douro, where you can socialize with friends and/or family.

Peso da Régua
Peso da Régua is a city located on the banks of the River Douro, known mainly for its importance in the production of Port wine.
The region is characterized by its steep slopes covered in vineyards, which create a stunning and unique setting. The landscapes are marked by terraces, where the vines are grown on granite terraces that slope down to the river.
In addition to wine production, the Douro region is also known for its rich history and cultural heritage. There are several quintas and wineries along the river that offer tours and wine tastings, allowing visitors to get to know the production process up close and enjoy the local wines

Régua Quay
Cais da Régua is a lively riverside spot where visitors can enjoy boat trips on the River Douro. River cruises depart from this pier and offer a relaxing and picturesque way to explore the Douro wine region. During the tour, passengers can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the vine-covered hillsides and riverside villages, while learning about the history and culture of the area.
Viewpoint of São Leonardo da Galafura
This viewpoint offers a breathtaking view over the Douro valley. Located at around 640 meters above sea level, it offers a unique panoramic view of the vine-covered slopes and the river meandering between them. It is a popular spot for photographs and contemplation of the unspoiled natural landscape.

Pedro introduced us to an incredible guide, Daniel, from Terra d'Alma, who showed us around. He was wonderful and I highly recommend him.
The house is in a quiet rural area. You need a car to get to restaurants and grocery stores.
Overall, we loved the area and would love to return.

Pedro's house is idyllic and what you expect when you stay in the Douro Valley. It's typical of the region and makes you feel like a local. The views are incredible. The state of the house inside is lovely and renovated and the grounds are full of plantations and orange trees. There is a narrow, winding road up to the house, but Pedrom was kind enough to turn our car around to navigate our way out. He also met us at the bottom to take us in, as he knew the road could be difficult to find. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level, which requires a flight of stairs from the entrance. Upstairs, there is a lovely open kitchen/living room with a large TV and Netflix. On the entrance level there are two additional bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, for those who don't want steps. They are self-contained suites and not connected to the main house. Interesting layout and it worked well for us.
Pedro is an excellent host and the house is great - it felt like home. Modern, great amenities, great views, quiet - absolutely 😍 worth it the minor note is the access to the house which is not easy to drive to, but Pedro did his best to help us 👍🏼
